Calling all Coffs Coast residents – support our new service or risk the chance of losing it!
For the last 2 years our airport manager and this Chamber have championed very hard for the reintroduction of a regular Coffs Harbour to Brisbane commercial flights.
Last week all that hard work paid off with the resumption of flights between these two cities. Now it’s the communities turn to help support this new service, whether it be for leisure travel, visiting friends and families or travelling for business.
Fly Corporate has now commenced direct flights to Brisbane with daily weekday services leaving Coffs Harbour at 7.15am and returning from Brisbane at 5.30pm, and Saturday morning back Sunday night same times using a 34 seat Saab 340B Plus aircraft.
With a flight time of just 60 minutes, this will allow day return passengers from Coffs Harbour a full business day in Brisbane, before returning on the late afternoon service, or staying a full weekend in Brisbane.
The Chamber received many requests from various sections of the community about the need for a regular service between here and Brisbane so it has certainly come as welcome news for all those parties. Now that we have the flight it is most important that we use it!
Don’t think for a moment that just because of the airline name that flights are only of a corporate or business nature, the flights are for all the community to use and I can think of a multitude of reasons for a trip to Brisbane – and so avoid the boring and time consuming FIVE hour drive by car.
This time saving could be most beneficial and allow that time for productive use or for more fun as the case may be. Think about using the flight for connecting flights further on and spread the word to anyone you know who could visit the fantastic Coffs Coast.
