Businesses from various industries across the Coffs Coast were elated to receive the news yesterday that they have been named finalists in the region’s prestigious Sunny’s Business Awards.

Proudly hosted by the Coffs Harbour Chamber of Commerce, the Awards provide a platform to showcase local businesses and individuals striving for excellence and achieving sustained growth.

The finalists are divided among 20 Awards categories including: ​​Excellence in Innovation, ​Excellence in Small Business, Excellence in Business, Excellence in Micro Business, StartUp Superstar, Excellence in Sustainability, Excellence in Social Enterprise Award, ​Outstanding Employer of Choice, Outstanding Young Employee (Age 18-30), Outstanding Young Entrepreneur (Age 18-30), Outstanding Business Leader (Age 31+), ​​Excellence in Workplace Inclusion, Local Producer, ​Retail Award, ​Professional Services, Accommodation, Hotel Clubs and Bars, Tourism and Attraction, ​Marketing and Advertising, Excellence in Business Practices and Professional Development/Staff Training Award.                

Chamber President Martin Wells said that this year’s Awards received a high caliber of entries and the judges had a considerably hard task ahead of them.

“Our judges are blown away with the standard of submissions this year. We are amazed at the achievements of local businesses and look forward to sharing their stories and celebrating their success at the awards night,” said Mr Wells.

 “The Sunny’s Business Awards are all about celebrating local business excellence and recognising the vital contributions businesses make to our local economy.”

Businesses from as far north as Woolgoolga, down to Urunga and across to Bellingen have been named finalists in the awards – a full list of finalists can be viewed here.
