The Design Cupboard

Lisa Daniel is an interior designer and the owner of ‘The Design Cupboard’- a design and media company in Coffs Harbour.

Having moved here from Melbourne with her family in 2016, Lisa has immersed herself in the arts and business community in Coffs, drawing on the talent pool of local craftsmen and artists for each of her commercial design projects. She understands that using local artists create more than a beautiful, functional solution for her work – each project becomes relevant to its locality and a reflection of the absolute best of the region.

In 2019, Lisa teamed up with 3 talented local women and created the collaborative event called ‘Botanica’ an evening in the gardens. Lisa was the creative director on Botanica where she discovered, engaged and involved gifted local artists, worked on the styling for the night, helped create the ‘Botanica story’ and storytelling, and so much more – loving every minute of working with our local creatives.

Before moving to Coffs Harbour in 2016, Lisa established and managed award-winning food & coffee venues in Melbourne which featured in national press and won numerous local government & industry prizes. Hospitality remains a large influence on both her business & personal life, having worked as a highly decorated chef for many years – she will tell you that hospitality runs through her blood. Lisa loves designing iconic hospitality venues, knowing in detail how they work and what it takes to create a venue ready for success.

Lisa is excited to join the chamber of commerce in 2020 bringing her passion for the growth and development of the arts, events, hospitality, business, and our own regional community.
