Inspiring; Winter Olympian Jacqui Cooper is headed to Coffs Harbour to address the Coffs Harbour Chamber of Commerce
As the saying goes, new week, new start, new opportunities, and for businesses on the Coffs Coast this has never been more appropriate than at present.
The chamber is delighted to be delivering two outstanding professional development and networking opportunities to our members and the wider Coffs Coast business community over the coming week.
On Tuesday, 21st August, the greatest aerial skier of all time, Jacqui Cooper, will be presenting her story of triumph, tragedy, defeat and success at the chambers August luncheon.
Jacquie’s story is one that makes you believe in the human spirit.
Her passion, persistence and unwavering dedication to a sport that is brutal and cruel is inspiring.
Jacqui Cooper represented Australia in aerial skiing for 20 years.
In a very long and decorated career she competed in 139 World Cup events nine World Championships and was the first Australian woman in history to represent Australia at five Winter Olympic Games.
Jacqui holds a record five world titles, 39 World cup medals and three major world championship medals, making her the greatest aerial skier of all time – male or female.
Her sport is unforgiving and in 2001 Jacqui broke her back in an attempt to win a record third world title which she later went on to achieve.
Jacqui’s story is one not to be missed and is certain to both inspire and motivate your team.
She will take you on a journey that lasts 21 years in her sport.
As well as being entertained and inspired, you will be left with a lasting impression that “success is not final, failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts”
