CONGRATULATIONS: Community Care Options took home a haul of awards at the Sunny’s Business Awards.

COMMUNITY Care Options was the business name on everybody’s lips at the Sunny’s Business Awards this year.

Taking out seven of the 20 awards on offer, the not-for-profit no doubt has a full trophy cabinet in the office.

Of the 20 awards, Community Care Options was the winner of the following awards: business of the year, employer of choice, business leader of the year, excellence in business ethics, community services, achieve anything award and the special judges award for young executive.

The organisation’s CEO, Debra Ryan, said winning the excellence in business ethics, community services and employer of choice awards was indicative of the positive feedback from their clients.

Ms Ryan was among her 30 staff members who attended the night.

The large staff attendance numbers highlighted for Ms Ryan the not-for-profit’s “great sense of pride and teamwork”.

“It was nice to have a cross-section of everyone who contributes there on the night,” Ms Ryan said.

“Everyone is on a bit of a high which is fantastic. It’s nice to be recognised.”

The not-for-profit has come a long way since its humble beginnings of a staff of three people.

Today, the organisation has 175 staff, 15 of which were hired just last week.

Community Care Options offers a variety of support packages for all age groups from seniors to those with disabilities and their carers.

The organisation also founded the We Care Day event.

Packed full of activities for all ages, the day celebrates people of all backgrounds and abilities on the Coffs Coast
