Businesses struggling to migrate to the National Broadband Network can raise issues directly with the company’s marketing department.

The Coffs Harbour Chamber of Commerce and NBN Co. will stage a forum on Tuesday to help solve faults, and share information on resolutions, the subcontractor model for the rollout, the rights of businesses in installations and migrating to high-speed broadband.

Chamber executive officer Garth Shipperlee said since Coffs Harbour was selected as part of the second group of rollout areas for NBN, much had happened.

“Many businesses have embraced the NBN and are reaping the rewards from the benefits whilst many businesses have experienced a range of challenges in migrating to this new technology,” Mr Shipperlee said.

“The Chamber has been proactive in working in conjunction with NBN to overcome some of the roadblocks,” he said.

NBN Co.’s lead community affairs manager Darren Rudd will give a presentation on the Coffs Harbour NBN rollout in a local, national and international context while giving an update on the joint discovery project between the chamber of commerce and NBN Co.
