As a small business owner, it is difficult to find time to work “on the business” rather than “in the business”; we are all time poor and may find ourselves being “reactive” than “proactive” in our businesses.  When is the last time you looked at your business plan or marketing plan?  I would imagine a while ago if we are truly honest with ourselves. Well, now is the time to dig out those plans and review how your business is tracking against them.

Why now?  The Sunnys Business Awards are a great opportunity to “work on the business”, and ask yourself these questions. Is your business on track with your business plan? Has the direction changed, or a new product, a new markets…  Now is the time to review all aspects of your business plan.

The Sunnys Business Awards enable you to have the time to use these plans to “work on the business”; tell your story and the journey of your business.

The “Sunnys”, as they are affectionately known, provide a fantastic platform to showcase your business and market it to over 300 businesses at the Awards presentation.  I am passionate about showcasing our local businesses to each other, to create that opportunity where we can support each other, buy from each other and keep it local.

The Sunnys are open and nominations are flowing in from customers, acknowledging their favourite businesses; and it’s fantastic to see so many companies being acknowledged, including many small businesses that have never been involved in the Sunnys before!

So, how to you find out more about the Sunnys?  Check out the website www.sunnysbusinessawards.com.au – you will find the award categories listed – we have 21 this year, something for everyone! 12 of these are aligned to the NSW Business Chamber Awards which gives you the opportunity to be represented at the regional and state awards and we have a few new ones too – so check it out today.

On the home page you will find a registration form for the final workshop we are running, it will run for an hour and cover how to enter, hints and tips on writing your application, how to create a 20 sec video, to name a few.  The final workshop will be on Wednesday 1st May from 5:30pm to 6:30pm at C.ex Coffs; complete the registration form on the home page of the website to register.
