A Coffs Harbour pharmacist has been recognised for her inspirational leadership and management excellence.
Tanya Maloney, the managing partner at TerryWhite Chemmart Park Beach Plaza and TerryWhite Chemmart Express at the Park Beach Family Practice, was presented with the pharmacy network’s inaugural MONTY Leadership Award in front of hundreds of her peers at the group’s annual conference.
Ms Maloney has described the win as surprising and humbling.
“In our combined TerryWhite Chemmart network, there are now almost 500 stores, and so many amazing pharmacists, and therefore, to be recognised with this award is just incredible,” Ms Maloney said.
“I enjoy encouraging and motivating my staff to be the best they can be and work together to achieve great results and I’m proud to be an ambassador for TerryWhite Chemmart.
“This award doesn’t just recognise me, however, it’s a reflection of the wonderful teams at TerryWhite Chemmart at both our Coffs Harbour stores.”
Ms Maloney has worked as a pharmacist for 22 years.
“Over the years, I have been able to grow with my customers. I feel honoured to be a part of the local community, as someone who is trusted to make a positive difference to people’s health.”
TerryWhite Chemmart CEO Anthony White congratulated Ms Maloney on the achievement.
“Community pharmacists play a vital role, from providing free health checks such as professional hearing consultations and blood pressure checks to working with customers to manage their medication,” Mr White said.
“Tanya is someone who not only embodies excellence and professionalism in her leadership, she also understands the importance of engagement with the community.
