Due to open in mid-2020, Serco will operate the Clarence Correctional Centre over a 20-year contract with the NSW Government, offering long-term industry partnership opportunities for businesses!
The Chambers’ Board recently met with Serco’s management to discuss the development of this facility and the opportunities it would provide for local businesses. We were very impressed with what’s taking shape, the size and scope of the project, the opportunity to get some insight on how the facility will be operated and how local businesses can benefit. Therefore we invited Serco to return and present to the members of the Chamber.
You should attend – firstly, because this is a limited opportunity to find out and experience first-hand what a half-a-billion dollar state of the art correctional facility looks like, from the outside to the inside, the technology used, and the rehabilitation and reintegration strategy adopted. Secondly, as there are many opportunities for local businesses to partner with Serco and upon its completion and the commencement of operations in mid 2020, Clarence Correctional Centre will require the procurement of a variety of goods and services.
