The first Fly Corporate flight has touched down in Coffs Harbour.

The promotional flight arrived at Coffs Harbour Regional Airport yesterday to mark the beginning of the airline’s new service between Coffs Harbour and Brisbane.

Chamber of Commerce president George Cecato likened establishing the service to a bumpy flight.

“The take off was very smooth … after a little while we hit some turbulence and Captain Dennis (Martin, airport manager) assured us to remain positive,” he said.

“Captain Dennis assured us it was the right path and the sky cleared.”

Coffs Harbour City Council general manager Steve McGrath said the flights would benefit the Coffs Harbour business community, with locals able to conduct a full day’s work in Brisbane before returning home, while Brisbane workers travelling to Coffs Harbour will need to stay and dine locally.

The daily service begins on April 11.
